An Interesting Challenge....

As I've mentioned, I'm a new member of the EtsyBloggers Street Team. One of the ways that the team encourages participation is to have a member host a Blog Carnival, where a particular topic (or two)
is chosen, and you blog about that topic. This month one of the topics is Autumn, so here is my post :)

Finally, the air is turning crisp, the leaves are starting to turn, Fair Food is easy to find, and the smell of fall is in the air. Fall is here. It's my favorite time of year, and, to me, autumn has always been a sensory overload. There's the crispy-crunch of the fallen leaves under your feet, the blooming intrusion of the reds, yellows, oranges of chrysanthemums, the indefinable scents of fall, the tartness and juiciness of the just-picked apples, the chaos of the local agricultural fair.... It's almost too much to take in!
But it is that same abundance of...well...life...that draws me. I'm fascinated by the changes that fall brings. The leaves change, the air turns crisper, outdoor activities turn from playing in the sun to raking leaves, picking apples and attending fairs. It's as if the whole summer frenzy has changed and slowed down. I wonder if this feeling is related to our agricultural pasts - you know, harvest comes in during this time of year, it's a time of plenty, celebration and thanksgiving. Or could it be simply because this time of year is the beginning of the school year, and as such, we've been conditioned for new beginnings? Whatever the reason, my challenge to you is to get outside and enjoy all this wonderful season offers.

I understand everything you thought/wrote about. I feel the same way, though I never thought about the conditioning since early childhood. I do not know the answer to that, but frankly I feel the way that I do and I LOVE Autumn for every reason you said and that's my final answer!

welcome to the etsybloggers, SilverRose. Great photos you've included. I was with some friends yesterday, and we went to a pumpkin patch. New colors in pumpkins and squash I don't remember seeing before. Reminds me of your pics.
