Right music, wrong crowd

On my way to work this morning, I've got my IPod blaring loudly over the car radio. I'm singing along at the top of my lungs, doing the ubiquitous head bob, and as I look out the window at a stop light, I realize I'm getting funny looks. The looks originate because of the music I'm blasting in the neighborhood I'm driving through....I'm in an urban setting, and here's what everyone is hearing out of my little Mazda Protege:

"But her evaluation of my cowboy reputation
Had me begging for salvation all night long
So I took her out giggin frogs
Introduced her to my old bird dog
And sang her every Willie Nelson song I could think of"

Yes, it's only a little snippit, but this is still a very popular song! And yes, these are the lyrics for my IPod Shuffle contest, with the winners getting a free pair of earrings. Here are the rules - please note that the duration of the contest has been extended - it's going to last for 2 weeks from here on out!

  • Partial song lyrics will be posted on this blog on Tuesdays
  • The contest will run for two weeks, with the winners chosen by random drawing by my daughter Erin
  • Email me with the song title and artist (email is hjwestfall1013 @ comcast.net - remove spaces, of course.)
  • Only one entry per person please!
  • Entrants must include full name, current email address and snail mail address (so I can send you your prize!) with your original email
  • Not following the above rules will mean you won't be entered in this weeks contest!
  • Rules subject to change at my discretion!
Have fun!!!
