Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! I do need to apologize for being so absent for the past few weeks. Holidays are pretty chaotic in my family, made all the more so by this not only being Holiday Season, but also Birthday Season in our family! Birthdays start happening in mid-December with my cousin's birthday, and run right through the end of January. We celebrate about 8 birthdays during that time, including mine, my husband and Little Girl. So yes, we're pretty busy.

I do hope that everyone had a happy, safe New Years and a fun, laugh-filled Holiday Season. As is expected with two children, we had a chaotic Christmas and New Years. Lots of fun, good food, great family and more wrapping paper and presents than two children need!! And as you can see, we did manage to visit Santa during all of the excitement. Erin loved meeting Santa - she has since she was a baby. Nathaniel, well, he was a little reticent, but did well regardless.

I must say that I just love this Santa. He's at our local mall, and has been the same Santa Erin's visited since she was 12 months old. Isn't he just perfect?

Anyway, onto something new that I've been working on. These bracelets were created as Christmas presents for my cousins. I've only shown two, but there was a third made for Alyssa! My three girl cousins are all Tweens, I guess is the current term, 10, 12 & 13. They're all wonderful young ladies and assets to their parents and family. Needless to say, we adore them!
These bracelets are a fun combination of stamped copper, semiprecious gemstones and Czech fire-pressed glass. The stamped copper tags are copper blanks that I cut myself out of sheet metal, then texturized, stamped and antiqued. The links were hand wrapped in more luscious copper.

The clasps are hand forged copper in a variety of designs, and they attach to hand-cut jump rings on the front of the name plates.

Yep, it's a lot of work to create these bracelets! But soooo fun and uniquely funky.
If you are interested in these bracelets, please let me know! I can customize them with whatever saying you'd like, and with whatever colors you prefer. I am trying to decide right now if they'd do well on ETSY...what do you think?
