I hope that everyone has had a great weekend! Mine was busy, as is expected and usual, but I did have a little bit of time to pull out my wire, baubles and hammers. Do you remember when I posted about a new project I was working on? Well, here's the almost-finished product! Almost finished because I need to work on a way of incorporating it into a piece of jewelry....I'm thinking necklace, but I just got slammed with the inspiration brush, and thought "broach/pin" too. So who knows how this will end up :)
Resin paper a 'la Deryn Mentock - based on a tutorial she had a published in one of my favorite wire magazines. The paper has been applied to a loverly, lucsious copper wire heart that has been hammered and oxidized.
Oh, and would you like to see what my jewelry bench (aka office desk) looks like when I'm working on projects? I love looking at the workspaces of other people!
Here I have some etched copper waiting to be turned into a pair of earrings and a bracelet, two copper wire hearts, two different pair of earrings waiting for earwires (the circles are copper accented with argentium sterling silver and white freshwater pearls. The bundles are turquoise and red coral wrapped in copper.), a rose quartz and sterling silver earring that is missing it's mate, a sterling and onyx earring also missing a mate, and a sterling hoop that is, yes, missing a mate.
