This bracelet was inspired by a favorite song and a favorite blog - see this post for the details. I will tell you that this is the second version of this bracelet. The first I liked, but felt it could be better. It was a multistrand bracelet, featuring turquoise, wood beads and copper chain with this same focal. I like this one much better! Still lots of turquoise, but now it's only a single strand of turquoise and picture jasper links. It's got very cool dangles hanging from each link - dangles of wood beads in two shades (light and dark), turquoise and copper. The focal and clasp are my own. I'm not sure right now if this bracelet will go into my Etsy shop - I just love it!
(The colors on these pictures are definitely off - I can't wait to get my camera back!)
In this post I was calling to memory the impetuous and brilliant work of a child working on an art project. This necklace is not exactly what I was thinking of when I put myself to this task, but it is what came out of it. I was trying to use the colors of a crayon box, and try to make something unihibited and free. Not so much of the unihibited and free in this piece! Wirewrapping all of those beautiful fiber beads was a bit controlled and tedious. I do have to admit though, that I love the way the necklace turned out! The fiber beads are from well, FiberBeads on Etsy, the round beads are czech glass, and the chain I made from Vintaj bronze wire. The clasp is also a Vintaj piece. The necklace is long, with two strands. This one will eventually make it to Etsy.
