Inspired by: Pumpkins, fallen leaves, apples

Fall has always been one of my favorite times of the year.  The scents, the colors, the tastes.  It calls to me, weird as that sounds.  People tend to look at the spring as a rebirth, as a fresh start.  Not so for me.  Fall has always been the refreshing season of starting anew.  I'm not really sure why - perhaps it was because of the start of a new school year (I always loved school!).  Perhaps it was the end of the heat of summer - the switch from heat and humidity feels like a rebirth. Whatever the reason, fall is truly my time of the year.

The smells of fall - pumpkin, apple, and that indefinable scent in the air that says "autumn".

The sights of fall - leaves changing from greens to brillant reds, oranges, yellows and browns.  Chrysanthemums.  Indian corn.  Orchards ripe with apples and pears.  Corn stalks.  Pumpkin patches.

The fall fun - apple picking, finding that perfect pumpkin to carve, county fairs, Halloween, Thanksgiving...

These are the sensations, thoughts, and feelings that rejuvenate me every autumn.  And these are the sensations, thoughts and feelings that I will try to incorporate for this challenge.  Please check back next Monday or Tuesday to see what comes about!
