So, yes, I realize this is Thursday and I'm only now posting about the weekend. What can I say, it's the first opportunity I've had to edit some pictures that I took! This weekend we took our seasonal sojourn to one of our favorite places - Old Sturbridge Village.
I'm sure I've posted about the museum before, but just as a refresher, it's a living history museum located in Sturbridge, Massachusetts. OSV is a museum that features life in rural New England back during the formative years of the 1790's to 1840's, and houses a great collection of buildings, machinery, animals, clocks and other historical memorabilia. It's a great museum, and we all love going to visit at different times of the year. We spend a lot of time at OSV in the summer, but personally, fall in the Village is absolutely spectacular. Of course, we just missed peak foliage, but it was still breath-taking.
As I've said, we all love OSV! The kids were very excited to find out where we were going that day, and Eric and I were just as excited too - because we knew we'd have two tired children after running around all day! And run around they did indeed. I don't think Nate stopped running the whole time! There were several times when Eric and I did double-take-looks, trying to make sure we had him within our sight! And Erin, well, I think her favorite thing is the sawmill - she couldn't wait to see it running!
I will say that this weekend was probably the most crowded I'd seen OSV, which was great. Of course, we went on a Saturday. Usually we try to time our visits during the week, but with Erin being in school, we've had to adapt some things a bit. All in all, we had a great visit....but then again, when do we not?
Oh, and I've got some news coming up on the jewelry front! Please make sure that you follow my jewelry stuff on Facebook....I'll just say that ;)
