A little mish-mosh of stuff...

I mentioned that last week was a busy week, I think, right?  Well, let's just say I'm glad it's over!  Ha.  It was a both a good week and a bad week.  The highs were going to Equine Affaire with one friend and meeting another I hadn't seen in a long time, and having two successful shows.  The bad was having to put one of our cats to sleep.  My sweet Bug-kitty crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Friday morning, following a quick and sudden neurologic issue.  We'll miss her, terribly, but there was nothing to be done for her, and so we had to make the hardest decision a pet owner is asked to make.  ::sigh::

That being said, and since yesterday was sort of a lost cause, I'm just going to direct you to a few cool things going on in bloglandia this week.

First, have you found Barbara's tutorial for making earring cards?  This is the best tutorial for such that I've yet seen!  Thanks Barbara, for offering this up!  Aren't these just the cutest?

Second - the incomparable Lori Anderson has done her magic and organized another really cool jewelry swap challenge!  This time around, the participants were to send their partner something they'd created but weren't particularly fond of, or hadn't sold, or some such thing.  They were each then to create something new out of that, and show it off!  Isn't that a cool idea?  I didn't participate this time around because I knew I'd be exhausted.  But next time around I will!  And I can't wait ;)  So here's the list of participants:

Third - have you seen Juls' giveaway??  Enter, dude, enter!  And win some of her way cool glassness...

Fourth - I've been a bad bad blogger and totally Missed this Bus with Patty, but the muse deserted me again...three pieces later, and completely unsatisified with any of them, I decided to try to grab the next Bus.  Count on it!  And check out what the inspiration piece is!!  (And help me keep myself accountable, please!!  Ha!)

Fifth - just posted this in my Etsy shop!

And last, here's a bit of eye candy - I revamped this piece a little bit, and like it so much better now!
Instead of just one strand of sari silk, I added two (another turquoise and the red) and braided it.  The sterling silver clasp has also been refashioned a bit.  Overall, a much better look and feel!  I'm happy.  Do you ever have something you liked, but wasn't *quite* right?  Are you usually quick to redo, or more like me, and very hesitant to change things up on a piece you like but don't love?

I will hesitate for a while and then hubby will see a different thing I could do to change the piece.
I will really hesitate if the original piece was very difficult to make.
Stubborn I guess.
