I'm experiencing a bit of a creative black hole lately...any and all creative desire is being sucked right out of me and I don't know why nor what to do about it! Does anyone have any sure fire way of getting back up on the horse, as it were? 'Cuz my horse bucked me off hard, then ran back to the barn kick-farting the whole way! (How's that for visual imagery?)
I've tried searching for inspiration using books, bloghopping, magazines, all my usual stuff. Doesn't seem to be working. I don't think it's necessarily a lack of inspiration, though. There are a ton of projects I want to start (and have started!), and a bunch of new techniques I want to play with, a number of online courses that I've started but haven't gotten that far into.... I think it might just be a lack of creative energy, 'cuz the stuff I want to do is all there, but the energy is missing. I have these things I want to do, and plan to do, but then when I have the opportunity to work on a project, I get dragged away from where I want to be and can't find the drive to get me into the mood of the project. It's almost like I feel lost, and need a map or GPS or something to get me back on track! Ah well, perhaps with Lorelei's latest challenge I'll come back into myself again! ;)
Anyway, I did want to point out one or two things that I've been keeping my eyes on recently:
-Lorelei's latest Readers Challenge will be happening soon. This time it's with beads and fun stuff from FusionBeads.com! I've ordered my goodies and am waiting for them to come in! I can't wait ;)
-Lori Anderson's Bead Soup Blog Party is just around the corner too! The sign up is January 7th, so wow, that's *this* Friday! I'm signing up, are you? This will be my first Bead Soup Blog Party and I'm all but panting in anticipation!
-The Lovely Lisa Swifka of A Whimsical Bohemian is organizing the fifth and *final* One World, One Heart Blog Event! Five years, wow, can you believe it? I've participated the past two years and will be doing so again....and I can't wait! OWOH runs from January 30 to February 17, and it's a 'round the world exciting meet and greet between bloggers! What fun it is...and the prizes and giveaways are just the icing on the cake :) Please do participate, I can't tell you how many cool people love this event. Let's help Lisa go out with a big ole bang!
(Hum, interesting - Lorelei, Lisa, Lori....all "L's".
Okay, really, here's the proof you needed that it's the small things.)
-Have you found the Pioneer Woman yet? I just have to say that I love Ree. And I love chaps. (I don't love cooking though...but that's my problem...and why I married a chef.)
And well, that's what I'm going to leave you with, 'cuz truly, I didn't mean to get so wordy on you. But of course, I do have to leave you with a few gratuitous pictures, of course...just because.

(I have to note the picture of Meadow-the-dog kissing Nate....
...that's a miracle. Truly.
She loves the kids, but avoids them unless she has to.)
