Bead Table Wednesday
Components, components and more components!

It's Wednesday, folks, and that means it's time for some of the coolness that is Bead Table Wednesday!  Yay!  And thanks to Heather, for cooking up such coolness too :)

I've come to love Bead Table Wednesday!  How about you?  I think it's because I'm a voyeur at heart ;)  I love checking out what people are working on, what their bead space looks like, and the best part is drooling over everyone's loverly beady goodness!  There's just so much goodness out there that it really just makes me drool.  Everyone is really living up to BTW, and in a big way.  It's so inspiring.  Isn't it?

Anyway, lately I've been working on a few projects, but mostly I've been trying to get some components done.  Without any rhyme or reason, I should add, so this is quite definitely a jumble of a bead table!  Ah well...

Here is a "from afar" shot of my bead table.  As I said, a whole jumble of things there.  We have Vintaj, some awesome beads and chains from Missficklemedia, some of the torch-fired enamel copper pieces I've been playing around with, some teardrop and round copper pieces I've soldered in preparation for something (no clue what yet), sterling silver earwires, bits of more sterling, and some copper wrapped links.

Here is a closeup of the goodies from Shannon...we have some russet-patinaed copper chain, some verdigris-patinaed copper chain, four of her awesome rondelles in a blue patina, a huge, very very cool blue patinaed round bead, a way awesome Easter Sunday copper bead (that's the ovalish one), and some white patinaed rounds.  I'm so in love with these beads!  I also got some of her patinas to try out myself, and now I can't wait for the kids to go to bed so I can go downstairs in the workshop and play!  (My poor husband - he didn't realize that when he said "Sure, you can have some of my workshop space" that I'd be taking over his shop!  LOL  Ah well, it's for the beads!  Who can argue with that??)  Oh, and that lonely pink, purple and gold bead?  Not from Shannon....it's a handmade paper bead from one of my favorite shops on Long Beach Island in New Jersey....

These are some of the copper pieces that I've played around a bit with using torch-fired enamels.  Still figuring out the technique for them, but I am certainly enjoying it immensely!!

Here are some copper teardrops shapes that I soldered together.  Not sure what I'm going to do with these yet!  I will admit that I think I'll save the solder next time and just fuse the copper instead....regardless, I so love the color that comes with a torch applied to copper!  Nummy...

I need some more sterling silver earwires, and so quickly have been forming those, after a quick trip to the aforementioned shop, which is where I do my torching.  These haven't been pickled yet.

These are just some copper links I quickly wrapped.  I'm thinking a bracelet, who knows though....

And that's what I have on my Bead Table this Wednesday!  And don't forget to check out the Flickr group for BTW!!

What's on your Bead Table today?  And when you work on components, if you do, do you work with a plan of specific things to make for a specific project?  Or do you just play with what hits you at that moment?
