Bead Table Wednesday
Really, it's Wednesday

Well, if you saw my post below from earlier in the day, you can see that I've been a bit confused today.  But I'm all straightened out now.  Well, as straightened as I can get, that is :)  I thrive in a bit of chaos, it seems.  Much to my ordered, analytical husband's dismay, I might add ;)  Anyway, without further ado, here's my Bead Table Wednesday!

Yep, I'm trying to figure out something to do for the March Art Bead Scene blog challenge.  My typical MO when doing a challenge like this is to copy the picture and palette we are using, then grab my art beads and try to match something.  This time around I've come up pretty blank, so we'll see what I can come up with.  Wish me luck and happy shopping!  LOL  ;)

On the other side of the table I have this stuff above.  An empty silver bezel (no clue what I'm going to do with that....ideas, sure, clue, not so much!  LOL), a strand of wooden beads, a peek of silver heishi in the corner, and some of that way cool Color Infusion String with a Metal core.  That's another thing I've got ideas but no clues for!  LOL  Can't wait to play with it though.  And you know what?  Those beads and the cool memory string stuff matches the ABS color palette... huh, just realized it ;)

Also piled up on my bead table are a bunch of pendants and focals and stuff that I've been playing with.  You see the cool copper pendant I etched in this post, a cool pewter heart focal from Happy Mango, an awesome faceted peach colored stone (don't know what it is, actually!) that's wrapped in some oxidized copper, a cool heart made of resined paper and copper, a couple of bead caps and underneath the red pliers is a copper flower with Czech glass bead center.

I've also got my first sweat soldered jump ring!  Very cool....I recently bought myself a butane microtorch, and decided there was no time like the present to give it a quick turn on and try!  I can certainly see how soldering can become addicting...oh, and hey, who cares if it means spending more money!  LOL

Here's the finished ring.  I've used it as a clasp in a bracelet.  It was made from 14 gauge sterling silver using a big dowel, and is one hefty ring.  You can see my finishing is far from perfect, but you know what?  It seems to fit perfectly with my style!  Here's the finished bracelet...
Sterling Silver and Freshwater pearls in peacock and creamy white.  This is my "Opposites Attract" piece.  The hardness of the sterling contrasts nicely with softness of the pearls, and the obvious contrast of the dark and white pearls works so well together too.  It's also a casual piece that can work in formal occasions.  Oh, and the toggle bit of the clasp I also fired up the torch for and made myself.  I find the torch highly addicting, as I said!  LOL

And this last piece, well, it's not on my bead table anymore - but it was this morning!  This was one of the two custom pieces I was working on this week.  I shipped this out this morning, thank goodness :)  One of my regular customers likes my birdsnest pendants, and requested another.  This is the third she's bought from me!  One for herself, two for other people.  Again, this is sterling silver and freshwater pearls.

Oh, and how about an Under The Bead Table Wednesday shot?

My silly boy, Nate, was playing in the office when I was taking shots of my bead table.  And this just couldn't go unused for today!  LOL

Oh, Nate is so silly! I love his smile!
You have been so busy, I love all the different components and I look forward to seeing them in the jewelry you make.
