It's not about...

Today's post was going to be all about a giveaway that I'm planning - I've hit 200 "fans" on my facebook page, and have over 160 followers here at my blog - that deserves a giveaway, right?

But that's going to have to wait.

It was also going to be about a giveaway that I won from the most awesome Lori Plyler over at Waterstone Studio.
(no, not the adorable Labbie - the bag!!)

But that's going to have to wait.

I was also going to talk about how the incredible Anderson, of Bead Soup Blog Party and Pretty Things fame is organizing yet another blog hop.  This time for The Global Genes Project and their cool 7000 Bracelets for Hope campaign.  I will definitely be creating a blue bracelet in support of this awesome project, for families living with rare diseases.

But that's going to have to wait.

Instead, today, I'm going to talk about another of my favorite things.  I know that many times I've mentioned Forever Morgans and the awesome work they do saving Morgan horses who are facing that final ride.  Well, Forever Morgans has done it again.  It seems as if every week, more and more Morgans are being found that need to be rescued, and every week, ForeverMorgans does its part and rescues them.  It's really an amazing job.  Most of these rescues are done by calling for donations from an incredible pool of people who are dedicated to what they do, heart and soul.

Well, they've done it again.  This past week there were a number of Morgan horses that needed to be rescued.  And Forever Morgans managed to pull another miracle out of their hat.  And saved them all.  But this time in order to do so, Forever Morgans had to reach out and tap the Ribbons Fund.  What is the Ribbons Fund, you ask?  I've written about it here.  You can also find more information on it at the FM website, and click on "What is the Ribbons Fund?" link in blue to the left of the page.

What does this mean?  Simply that without replenishing the Ribbons Fund, Forever Morgans doesn't have the ability to help a Morgan in need should an emergency rise.  And this is where I ask for your help.  (Again.)  I would like to do my part, and so would like to direct you to my Etsy shop where you can find a few items that are designated as 100% donations for FM.   Should you see something in that section you like, if you purchase it I will send the full price paid to Forever Morgans so that their good work can continue.  And thank you in advance for looking - I can't tell you how much it means.  To me.  To the horses.  To Forever Morgans.  Thank you.

Oh I can see how much this means to you and I so hope you are able to raise some money for them. You have a generous heart and I so wish I had the means to help but I offer my support as much as I am able.

Hugs
