Bead Table Wednesday
Plays with Copper

Welcome to Bead Table Wednesday!  I have come to love Wednesdays, where I can vicariously live through what everyone else is creating, and get a glimpse into some way cool creative minds, and awesome work spaces :)

What am I working on, you ask?  Well, nothing much really....other than procrastination, of course.  That was, after all, my undergrad degree was in.  (Kidding - it's actually Agricultural Economics/Agribusiness!)  I do have a few projects that I should be working on - a commissioned necklace, a commissioned painting, and a few other things - and while I am working on them, I am also pulling out bits and pieces of this and that too....

...like yummy sari silk....

...playing around with copper wire, creating flowers...

...trying to figure out what to do with these cool copper loops I'd soldered a while back...

...patina'ing a piece of copper...

...letting the used patina bath sit to see what develops (this is an enclosed container, just took the top off to see what was going on)...

...hammering and oxidizing copper washers...

...trying to figure out what to fill this bezel clasp with...

And in general, playing with copper in all of it's various forms and shapes!  Have I told you lately that I love copper?  Yep, uh huh!  Def my favorite metal :)

And well, that's what's going on with my Bead Table this lovely, hot Wednesday!  What are you all working on today?  And please don't forget to check out all the other BTW shots on the Flickr group!  Eye candy galore, over there :)
