(I know, what a combination, isn't it? LOL)
Happy Wednesday everyone! And yep, being Wednesday, you know that it's time for Bead Table Wednesday. Yay! I spent my day yesterday (when not playing "Save the Kitten from two terror kids" or doing house-stuff) perusing the blog posts everyone was putting up on their travels to Bead and Button. It was quite inspiring, and I have to admit that I came away a bit jealous of the fun time everyone seemed to have had! There are also a huge number of giveaways going on too, apparently....some as a result of B&B, some not so much, but I'll get into those shortly;)
So, now, we move on to my bead table. You'll see lots of copper, of course.
Turquoise. Another of course, lately - I seem to be doing alot with turquoise!
And red coral you'll see too.
And what did I cook up with that combination, you ask? Well, I've been trying to work on a commission necklace for the past....oh....six weeks. Kept working it up and then tearing it apart. I just couldn't get happy with it. It's not even like I had a lot of requirements for it! But regardless, couldn't get it right. So I told myself that yesterday was going to be the day to work it out. And it must've been the inspiration from browsing all of the Bead and Button posts, but it did seem to work. Yay! So here's the finished project.
Simple, right? But for some reason I kept trying to make it too elaborate. And I kept straying away from what the commission was for. And I wasn't satisfied. So I ended up going back to the original order, reorganizing my thoughts, and created this necklace. Yep, simple. But it works. And fits exactly with the parameters of what was originally asked for! Do you do that? Make things more difficult or elaborate than they should be? I do it all the time. And it drives the poor husband to bits! ;) Ah well.
I'll leave you with one more view, because apparently it's time to rescue a kitten again.
So, what's on your Bead Table this Wednesday? And don't forget to check out the Flickr group too! And I'll post about those giveaways later, I promise :)
(and because I can't let it go....here's the proof that I need to rescue kitten.)
(....and the big cat apparently needs help too...)
(or maybe they just need to learn how to hide better.)
