I Heart Vacations

Once again, following the awesome Lori Plyler over at Studio Waterstone
for I Heart Macro today!  Please join us, it's tons of fun!

We're back from an awesome vacation up in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, so I'll be back to blogging again :)  But the problem is, do you know how difficult it was to try to find a macro shot out of the 600 or so photos that I took while on that vacation??  Yeah, pretty difficult.  Simply because I was so enamoured of the distance shots I was getting...and of course, the kid shots too ;)  But here are the two that I did manage to get!

Butterflies by the river on the Kancamangus Highway

So, please do join us in I Heart Macro - Lori does a bang-up job with this, and there are a whole bunch of cool bloggers who participate!

Anyway, as I mentioned, I'll be trying to get back into my blogging schedule again...and am now trying to catch up on what everyone has been up to this past week!  We were completely without internet access from Monday until Thursday this week, and man, you never know what you are missing until you actually are ;)  That being said, it was quite nice not to be connected at all.  And I might have to make myself pull a computer vacation everyone once in a while since it did give me a nice break....but anyway, I'll let you know when that will happen...if it does ;)

Oh, and are you participating in the ABS Muffin Tin Challenge?  I'm trying really hard, despite coming into it with three days to actually work on the projects!   Check back tomorrow to see if I make it or not :)

That is a great shot of the butterflies puddling (they are getting minerals & nutrients from the "dirt"). I love seeing butterflies that we don't have around here! Great photos!

Thank you Marsha for letting us know what they are up to!
I love butterflies..they are sometimes too quick to be able to get nice pics so I am glad you captured them for us. good luck with your muffin pan project it looks quite interesting...and a very good way to help plan out the piece.

Wow Holly - I love both shots. Gorgeous cotrast in the first one between the fushias and the silver leaf plant - looks like pewter (unless it is!) The butterflies are just wonderful - never seen anything like it in the UK! Thanks so much for sharing.
