I Heart Wicker

Joining the awesome Lori Plyler over at Studio Waterstone for I Heart Macro again today!

I love wicker.

Well, right now I do ;)  It seems to come in waves.  Love it, can't stand it, adore it, can't deal with it.  Right now, I'm loving it again.  This macro shot is from the furniture set that sits on my front porch.  It consists of a couch, two chairs and a small side table.  All slightly weathered, but that's part of the appeal, if you ask me!  This set sat on my mom's front porch at her old house for years.  It really brings me back to times that were simpler and easier.

Maybe that's why I love wicker.

I love wicker too! Your chair looks so romantic. I would love to have a porch so I could have a lovely wicker chair :-(

Great shot by the way!

Love the shot of the wicker wavey lines and the beads. Love the textures you see in the shot too.

I always had a love/hate relationship with the wicker on our front porch also. Love the quaint appeal, hated the paint chips that flaked off EVERYWHERE! Great shot and i'll admire yours from afar :)

I love wicker too. I have a white weathered wicker couch on my front porch that I sit in with my daughter on nice mornings.

I totally agree with you - the distressed nature is part of it's charm (and history!). Great pictures.

great shot of a whicker chair. I never think to do a close up of things like this

Personally I'm not much of a fan of wicker, though I do own a few pieces that I inherited.
However, you've done a WONDERFUL job capturing the chippy, woven, beady beauty of it!
