I Heart Vacations - version 2

Well, hello again!  I'm back from a two week vacation at the lake with my husband and kids, and phew, while it was enjoyable as always, it's always so much work!  Do you find that too?  I think that part of it might be that my kids are both young (5 and 3), which means alot of vigilance and care and activities.  The other thing is that my husband's version of vacation is to get up every single day and *do* something!  And that, of course, means busy busy busy for me ;)  Now, I do get it, no worries about that.  It's best to keep the kids busy, and my husband isn't just a "sit and relax" typa guy.  But I enjoy a relax and keeping it low key day once in a while ;)  LOL  I will say that getting up and moving in the morning did allow us to just hang around at the lake shore, play in the water and with the kayaks and canoes once the afternoon hit.  Which is always nice.  Oh, and yep, bedtimes were easy and no problems, which is always good :)

So, what did we do on vacation, you ask?  Well, Old Sturbridge Village, of course.  We also usually try to time our July vacation to correspond with the Brimfield Fair, and did so this year.  We also went for walks, hit some of our favorite shops, and spent alot of time in the water.  It was *HOT*!!!  All in all, as I said, it was a great vacation....even if there were some days I didn't really want to get up and do things ;)  Expect vacation pictures for the near future, and one post on the Brimfield Fair too....  Oh, jewelry stuff, nah, didn't really get to do any of that.  Not only did the kids fall asleep quickly and easily, so did I ;)  And my jewelry time is usually at night, when the kids are asleep.  Although I did manage to pick up some stuff from one of the local bead stores up in Sturbridge!  I will show those goodies at some point.

So, anyway, I'm here again, and will try to get back onto the blogging swing ;)  I'll also get the Etsy shop open again.  Oh, and are you a "Keep Busy" or "Relax and Chill" typa person on your vacations?  Or somewhere in between?

And now, here are some macro shots I took while we were on vacation, so I'm joining Lori over at Waterstone Studios again for I Heart Macro - please join us!  This is indeed one of my favorite days to blog :)
Beautiful toadstool found on one of our many walks

Awesome shots and sounds like you had a pretty good time. I like to do something everyday but not all day. I like finding a comfortable place to sit and people watch!

Count me in for "relax and chill" (unless there is bead shopping involved). Love your toadstool!

Ok I am back and can leave a message! I am jealous of your trip to Brimfield! Vacations with kids are exhausting - you really need a vacation from your vacation!
