Bead Table Wednesday

And welcome to yet another edition of Bead Table Wednesday, where we all can be secret stalkers!  ;)  Let's look at those gorgeous baubles and gems everyone is working with!  And see that incredible wirework and mixed media stuff!  And all those cool tools....what's better than tools?

::Holly, step away from the caffeine and chocolate.  It's really not the wonder combination you seem to think it is!::

::looking up guiltily with chocolate smeared all over face and hands::

Oh, uhm, well, sorry.  I tend to get a bit "Jackson Pollack crazy" (stolen from Brene Brown, on a TED talk about Vulnerability)  when I'm working on a deadline, or focusing with a specific goal in mind.  And in this case, my focus is first on the craft fair on Saturday.  Then the earring swap organized by the wonderful Diana of Suburban Girl Studio.  Then the Very Vintage Challenge organized by awesome Michelle Mach.  And then four more craft fairs throughout the fall.  So yes, "Jackson Pollack crazy" it is indeed!  And this is of course, not including the normal chaos of two young children, a husband, and an almost full-time job.

You'll notice that cleaning house is not included in that list of chaos.  That's because I haven't picked up anything in over a week.  Well, sure, laundry is done, kitchen is clean, kitty litter boxes emptied.  But that's about it.  Oh, and I forgot to mention that we're having company for dinner tomorrow night.  Oh.  Lovely.  Excuse me while I find more chocolate and caffeine.

::hiding under desk with candy and diet coke::

Uhmmmm, Hello?

There, that's better :)   And now on to the lovely beady goodness that's dressing my bead table!  As I mentioned, I'm prepping for the fair on Saturday.  So I've got a number of finished pieces that I haven't yet added to the "price and tag" station...

Amethyst and sterling silver bracelet

Vintage glass and copper bracelet
Czech glass and copper with handmade sterling silver earwires

I've also got my recent buy from PickyourPlum on the bead table...these lovely bezels came in yesterday, and I can't wait to experiment with them!

brass, pewter and copper bezels

And then there's this:

Granted, this isn't a great photo...but like my partner in crime for this craft fair, I'm busy renovating my own displays.  And I think we're sharing a brain or something, because this is a similar project to what she posted for Bead Table Wednesday!  But you'll have to wait to see the finished project ;)

What you also don't see is the complete disarray my bead table really is!  Beads have run amok, tools are thrown everywhere, bits and pieces of wire and metal are strewn all's really a disaster area.  And then there is my bucket of displays and table coverings and other craft show's really quite disturbing.  I do think my husband is quite despairing of my organizational skills.  Which I never claimed to in the first place ;)  After all,

So, there's my bead table this lovely Wednesday!  What's on yours?  And don't forget to check out the Flickr group for more loveliness!

Hey, Holly, your jewelry is looking good. I'm getting ready for a show that starts the 4th. No housework is being accomplished here either!

Now I want chocolate and caffeine and new jewelry! And you know, a clean house is overrated! Can't wait to hear how you and Patty do at the show!

I'm so relating to your entire post! Loved the caffeine and chocolate pictures and comments. Send me sympathy because i can't have ANY, too much insomnia and it damaged the adrenals. Something to keep in mind. Your amethyst bracelet is just gorgeous, a seller for sure! I "clean" my house just like you do, except we don't have a cat! The problem is my Dyson vacuum, you can see exactly how much dirt you picked up! Hope your fall shows are very rewarding!
