...it's time for a reminder...
Everyone should try to defy gravity once in a while.
It makes things so much more worth it!
After a long time away from the pliers and hammers and beads and metal and wire, I've finally grabbed ahold of my missing muse, shook hard and gave her a stern talking to, and gave myself some time with tools in hand. It was good to be back behind the hammers and pliers again! In my last post you can see some of what came out of that studio bender. Here's a few other things I managed to wrap and pound...
|Copper links that were soldered and wire-wrapped, jasper beads on paddle headpins with daisy spacers.|
Handmade copper earwires complete these earrings
These will be listed on Etsy later today!
|Bracelet focal (probably!)|
Copper that's been etched, oxidized with LOS, flame colored, Gilder's Paste applied, then buffed.
Other than that, there are a few other things I've been working on, and eventually I'll show them to you ;) I've also been playing with another favorite material of mine - my beloved Prismacolor colored pencils and my art journal.
Oh, and course, the kids, husband and I have been busy around the house, crazy with work and school, swimming lessons, Daisy Scouts, Jazz and Ballet and preparing for Easter and spring! I'm so happy spring is finally here...I really can't wait to get started playing in my gardens :)
And one more thing! I've just signed up for Sally Russick's awesome One Crayon Color Challenge! Will you be playing? This type of challenge really speaks to me, so I was very excited to see it! The objective of the challenge is to choose one of the crayon colors below and design something using a monochromatic scheme. I really can't wait to see what everyone comes up with! And I'm going to keep my color a secret for now ;)
