Happy Father's Day
and a little bit of macro

Happy Father's Day to some of the most important men in my life.

My dear husband, you've grown into this position of father like I'd never thought possible.  You awe me, you inspire me, and I love you more than ever when I see you with our children.

Dad, you are one of a kind.  Of that, there is no doubt.  No daughter or son could ask for a better man to have as a father.  You have shoes that no other man can possibly fill in the same way.   My children, and those of my sister, could not ask for a more incredible papa.  Thank you.  And "thank you" doesn't encompass all I need to say...

Father-in-law.  Such common words for such an amazing man.  You raised two incredible sons, and are absolutely wonderful with our two children.  They adore you.  And that's all I can ask.  And yet I receive so much more.

I'll leave you with scenes from one of our favorite activities - car shows.  Our town holds one ever year, about this time.  And we either try to get to this one, or one other local show.  This year we stayed in town, and enjoyed the show.

I'm a Mustang girl.   In fact, the  first car I ever bought myself was a 2 door Mustang hatchback.  It was electric blue, with hot pink racing stripes down the sides.  It was only a little 4-banger, but I absolutely *loved* that car!  And drove it to the ground.  (I'm a bit hard on my vehicles.)  So I always enjoy seeing the pony cars when they're around.  And they had plenty this time around.  Interestingly enough, as Nate was walking around, he walked up to this cool white car.  And said "That's a Nate car."  I got a bit hysterical - it was a '66 Mustang!  That's my boy :)

My husband, on the other hand, is a Chevy boy (when he's not covered with respectability and Honda-ness).  His first car was a Camaro that he bought and rebuilt himself.  And his dream car is a Corvette.  1972, I think ;)  So, yes, I crowed a little bit about the "Nate car"!  LOL

Anyway, I hope everyone has a great Father's Day!
And please join the Macro-crew over at Lori's place!
