focus on life
week two

once upon a time, a young woman and her then-boyfriend decided to take a walk.  a long walk, following a very specific path.  carrying food.  sleeping gear.  clothes.  it was a wonderful walk.  along a beautiful path.

via
the only problem was that the young woman was unprepared for her path.  she thought it would be easier than it was.  oh.  she knew it would be hard.  but she thought she was ready.  she wasn't.  and so they had to leave their path.

years later, that woman and man were married.  and their path continues.  and it's good to have a hand along that path.  helping you prepare and walk.  together.  the path winds and twists and turns.  but it's a good path to be on.

an exploration in my art journal

and yes.  PATH is my one Word for the year of 2013.  I vow to enjoy my own chosen path a bit more.  the beauty, after all, is amazing.  jaw dropping.  and oh. so. lovely.  heartbreaking too, but better shared.  and better planned together too.  so.  then.  enjoy, my friends, the path you are on.

join Sally and everyone

What a great message! While we might not have chosen the path we are on, we have the power to turn it into something good.

Love the photo!

You seem to have no regrets on where your path has taken you - that is the best part of this post! I hope you continue to enjoy your chosen path this year!

I love the way you told this story. Having that hand to help you, to guide you, to give you support along your path is powerful. I love the idea that you are focused on enjoying your path. And there is an implication that you will follow the twists and turns of the path wherever it may lead. I wish you joy in the journey in 2013. Enjoy the day. Erin

That is a wonderful word and a wonderful story. It reminds me a bit of the Robert Frost poem. You photo is beautiful as well.

It is sometimes hard not to go astray when you are trying to follow your own path as well, so many things to tempt you from your chosen path, it's a good reminder to focus on our own destiny and way to go! Great post
